after receiving Outstanding Practitioner Award for 2013

Tia Schneider Denenberg, the Co-Director of Workplace Solutions, received the Outstanding Practitioner Award from the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) on June 8, 2013, at the organization’s annual meeting in St. Louis. The award is given annually for “contributions to the industrial relations profession.” During the presentation ceremony, Prof. Morris Kleiner of the University of Minnesota commented that the awards committee was “especially impressed“ by Ms. Denenberg’s “work as an arbitrator and her association with the New York State Public Employment Relations Board.”

LERA, which has chapters throughout the country, regularly recognizes practitioners and scholars who have exhibited leadership qualities. Ms. Denenberg also took part in a panel discussion at the meeting on the topic of “Expanding the Issues of Bullying in the Workplace: Labor and Management Responsibilities.”
